The JEM20TH features a handcrafted clear acrylic body, produced by a specialist Japanese company known for constructing aquarium tanks. Inside, a 3D multi-layered interior design is brought to life with internal green LED illumination, giving this guitar an otherworldly stage presence.
To match the body’s acoustic density, Ibanez worked with DiMarzio to develop custom Trans JEM pickups in an HSH configuration, designed to retain precision, clarity, and power across the frequency spectrum. You’ll also find the Edge Pro locking tremolo, a 5-piece maple/walnut Prestige neck with Steve Vai’s signature vine inlay, and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with effortless upper fret access.
